Developing person-centric care approaches for elderly migrants in Europe

ENIEC is a non-profit European network of professionals that seeks to secure the rights of elderly people with a foreign ethnic or minority background in Europe. It constitutes an informal platform for members to exchange ideas, experiences and practices with the aim of so securing that elderly migrants and minorities across Europe can live in an environment of tolerance, intercultural understanding and respect.

ENIEC membership is directed at individual professionals, who work and volunteer in different professional fields from social care to nursing, management, policy and research. The members meet once every Spring for an annual meeting in different members’ cities. Joint initiatives are encouraged throughout the year.

In 2018 ENIEC members represented 15 different European countries: The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Spain, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Ireland, France, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
