On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, ENIEC has presented the book From Home to Home . With this initiative, ENIEC aims to raise awareness about the topic of older migrants among local authorities and organisations in care, welfare, and housing.
The book tells the stories of 10 older migrants who found the courage to leave their countries and now face the challenges of aging in Europe. It is a collection of strengths, joys, pain, courage, challenges, and achievements that seeks to depict the diversity, variety, and similarities of aging in Europe as immigrants.
ENIEC members are committed to ensuring that European elderly individuals with a foreign ethnic background or from minority groups can live in an environment of tolerance, intercultural understanding, and respect for their needs and cultural backgrounds.
This book is our tribute to them.
