On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, ENIEC has presented the book From home to home With this initiative, ENIEC wants to contribute towards putting the topic of older migrants on the agenda of local authorities and care, welfare and housing organisations
The book tells the stories of 10 older migrants who one day got the courage to leave their countries and currently face the challenges of getting old in Europe. It is a book of strengths, joys, pain, courage, challenges and achievements that wants to depict the diversity, variety and similarities of getting older in Europe being immigrant.
ENIEC members are committed to secure that European elderly with a foreign ethnic background or from minorities can live in an environment of tolerance, intercultural understanding and respect for their needs and for their cultural background.
This book is our tribute to them.
