More about Sven

My name is Sven, and I am a native German. Frankfurt will be my third ENIEC meeting. This year marks 30 years of living abroad in different countries for me. Much of that time has been spent in Finland, where I now live and work. Having originally trained and worked in business, I decided to retrain as a social worker. For over 10 years now I have worked with migrant background clients. Children, families, and most recently, elderly migrants with dementia at The Alzheimer Society of Finland. Just this March, I started a new project at Carers Finland, working with elderly male carers. I have found ENIEC to be a great way to learn more about intercultural work in elderly care. While filled to the brim with expertise, it's the network’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere that sets it apart. Everyone is approachable.
