Dear Members,
During #EniecAM 2019 in Tallin, we will have elections for two board member positions for 2 years, the positions of Jennifer Van Der Broek (The Netherlands) and Nikolett Arnold (Hungary). In addition, this year, we will have one more election for a 1-year position on the board. Unfortunately, Conny van Aalsvoort due to new professional commitments cannot continue to volunteer the time necessary to do her job on the board with the thoroughness she would like.
Jennifer Van Der Broek and Nikolett Arnold have informed us they want to continue for another two years but all members are free and invited to apply. We would also like to encourage members who would like to take over the position of Chair after Lola Casal-Sanchez stops next year to nominate her/himself this year. Both the board and this nomination group consider beneficial if the future Chair will work together with Lola during this year. This group also wants to remind that the General Meeting does not vote for a Chair, it is the Board who has the right to appoint a Chairman (Art 10, Eniec Constitution)
As a board member, you will be managing different tasks – such as membership administration, communication with working groups or being a contact person for the next organizing committee of the Annual Meeting. In addition, you participate in meetings with the other board members and working groups focusing on strategic issues, including – the organization, communication, and financing of ENIEC.
The three of us have worked as board members and we both enjoyed this work very much. It is interesting, sometimes challenging and you are always in good company having lots of fun and meaningful conversations about an issue you are passionate about.
In addition to the election of two board members, we are searching for two members who can join Nikolett Arnold in the communication team.
