How is care for older family members organised when lives span across borders? ENIEC highlight an upcoming GLOCAL/RUNOMI Seminar at Radboud University, taking place on Thursday, 18 June 2026, dedicated to transnational care arrangements and cross-border family care practices.
ENIEC is especially pleased to share that our members Ferhan S. Palaz and Hanna Carlsson will be contributing to the seminar together.
During the session, Ferhan (Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa) will present her research on how Dutch-Turkish families organise care across national borders. The presentation focuses on the negotiation of care at the intersection of family relations, welfare state arrangements, particularly Personal Budget Schemes (PGBs), and social norms. Hanna and Anita Böcker will act as discussants.
