Dear Eniec Friends,
My PhD dissertation supervisor from Istanbul University Department of Sociology Ass. Prof. Dr. Murat Şentürk and his colleague Prof. Dr. Yusuf Adıgüzel are conducting a thematic panel session “Social and Health Care Policies for Elderly Migrants in Europe” as a part of the “4th Transforming Care Conference”. The conference will take place in Copenhagen between the dates 24th-26th June, 2019.
The Transforming Care Conference will investigate:
• What and how priorities are made?
• Which priorities are maintained and which are changing?
• How do priorities (re-)design the care approaches?
• What are the prioritizing dilemmas, solutions and conflicts?
• How do priorities impact the distribution of care and conditions for informal and formal care work?
It is a pleasure to announce that Senior Lecturer Yvonne Schikhof M. A. from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences will be a panel discussant together with Ass. Prof. Dr. Ulaş Sunata Özdemir from Bahcesehir University Department of Sociology. Yvonne is, as you all know, an experienced member of our network and the panel will be even more effective with her contributions. Thematic panel 19 : Social and Health Care Policies for Elderly Migrants in Europe. This session invites papers that focus on both the social- and health-care needs of elderly migrants; of particular interest are papers that examine the various angles of care.
You are all invited to join the conference to share new ideas. It is a last minute call but it took time to make a proper announcement. Hope to see and meet many of you!
